Special Edition

There're two special edition for Windows® user, named 64-bit Intel and 64-bit AMD, which is compiled specific for the latest Intel® and AMD® processors. These two versions will take the full advantage of your CPU and break the seal of performance, and provide you a better experience.
If you're using a 2nd or later generation Intel® Core™ i-series processor(AVX instructions supported), and running 64-bit Windows® 7 or later 64-bit Windows® on your computer, then the 64-bit Intel version is right for you.
If you're using a Bulldozer or later generation AMD® processor(AVX instructions supported), and running 64-bit Windows® 7 or later 64-bit Windows® on your computer, then the 64-bit AMD version is right for you.

Arch Linux

If you'd like to skip the long building process. You could add Arch Linux CN community repository to your pacman config, there's exactly same AUR package pre-builded by community build machine.

Once you add it, you can directly install via pacman without building on your machine.

Compile from Source Code

We provide a simple instruction for compiling μ from source code for some Linux users.

Here are some resources for you to customize your μ.

Images

  • Genre Images (37.6MB)

    • Download links: SourceForge, Baidu

    You can always add, remove or modify any genre image in your music library folder. To find your genre image folder, you can find it at General tab in Preference.
    For default case, you should extract these images to:

    • Windows: Documents/Kreogist/Mu/Library/Music/Genres
    • Mac OS X: ~/Documents/Mu/Library/Music/Genres
    • Linux: ~/.kreogist/mu/Library/Music/Genres

    If you have moved the library folder, put it in the /Library/Mu/Genres folder in you library.
    Restart μ, and μ will load all the genre images.

Fonts

    You can always add, remove or modify any customize fonts in your library folder. μ will automatically load these fonts every times initiallize.
    For default case, you should put these fonts to:

    • Windows: Your Documents/Kreogist/Mu/Fonts
    • Mac OS X: /home/Documents/Mu/Fonts
    • Linux: ~/.kreogist/mu/Fonts

    If you have moved the library folder, put it in the /Library/Mu/Fonts folder in you library.
    Restart μ, and μ will load all the fonts.
